Trademark policy

The Hikyo name and marks are owned personally by Marc Went until a legal entity exists to hold them. This policy prevents confusion about what is official; it does not limit the code freedoms granted by the Mozilla Public License 2.0.

No permission is needed for:

• nominative use, such as “works with Hikyo” or “fork of Hikyo”;
• unmodified redistribution using the original project name; or
• accurate compatibility statements.

Permission is required to offer a hosted or packaged service under the Hikyo name or confusingly similar branding. Forks remain free to thrive under a different name.

Questions and permission requests may be opened as a public repository issue. Security reports must instead use the private channels in SECURITY.md.
